The still popular noontime show of ABS-CBN Wowowee will go off air at the end of this month and so the rumors that host  Willie Revillame will be coming back to the show is not true after all. It will be replaced by a new noontime game show called Pilipinas Win na Win that will have Kris Aquino as host with Robin Padilla, Valerie Concepcion, Pokwang and Mariel Rodriguez who is being linked to Robin Padilla.

Kris Aquino will be back on Friday from her vacation in the United States. She is happy to be back to TV hosting after she had left other shows she had at ABS CBN such as The Buzz and Showbiz News Ngayon (SNN). Robin Padilla is happy to be part of the new show after he did a two week stint at Wowowee as guest host.

On the other hand, former Wowowee host Willie Revillame will be given a new TV show as confirmed by the head of ABS-CBN Corporate Communications.

I am amused with the name of their “loveteam” – MAIS for MAriel-LuIS; LUMA for LUis-MAriel; and MALU for MAriel-LUis.

Here is the YouTube video with Ruffa seen trying to control her tears after Kris Aquino said “Ruffa aminin mo ibang level ang saya dito.” You can play the video at 4:10.

This comment from Kris must have affected Ruffa with her leaving the show that you would see her trying to control her tears and while the shows goes on a commercial break, Ruffa stood up immediately and walked out of the set. Not sure if she still came back on air coz when the segment where Gretchen Barreto was interviewd by Kris and Boy Abunda, Ruffa was not there anymore which made me think at first that maybe Ruffa has indeed left the show for good. Hope Ruffa and Kris will work things out.

ABS-CBN’s offering for the celebration of 60 Years of Pinoy Soap Opera is Habang May Buhay starring Judy Ann Santos and Derek Ramsay. This new teleserye also tagged as the nurse-serye will already start next Monday February 1, 2010. The old title of this teleserye was “Humingi Ako sa Langit”.

Avatar highest grossing movie in history surpassing Titanic

“Avatar” is now the highest grossing movie in history surpassing “Titanic” both movies are directed by James Cameron. It took more than five years to make this blockbuster sci-fi epic movie and had a budget of no less than $300 million therefore making it one of the most expensive films ever made.

Avatar sales worldwide is now at $1.859 billion while 1997 movie Titanic sales was at $1.843 billion according to the spokesperson of Fox, Greg Brilliant.

Avatar won Best Director – Motion Picture for James Cameron and the Best Motion Picture – Drama in the recent67th Golden Globe Awards.

“Paano Na Kaya” starring Kim Chiu and Gerald Anderson premieres tomorrow January 27, 2010. This is Star Cinema’s first movie offering for 2010. Kim and Gerald’s love team has gone a long way since they came out of the Pinoy Big Brother Teen Edition.

The Kimerald fans are sure excited for tomorrow’s nationwide premier showing of Paano Na Kaya, a pre-Valentine movie offering from Star Cinema.
