ABS-CBN’s Showtime was suspended by MTRCB due to Rosanna Roces controversial comment insulting teachers. Showtime was given a 20-day preventive suspension by MTRCB. Rosanna Roces was one of the judge and she made a comment saying “… teachers they were just repeaters.” Aside from that, she told the show’s contestantfrom calamba, Laguna “murahin mo yung teacher mo ha” (insult your teacher) coz she did that when her teacher was not able to answer her also.

Vice Ganda, another judge of the show, thanked his teachers and came to the defense of teachers and said that we should not generalize teachers for their imperfections as they are also human. Surely many Showtime fans will be sad to miss the show for 20 days and especially Vice Ganda’s text messages.
